Will Barratt
Director of Photography
Originally from Shelburne, Massachusetts, Will attended the University of
Massachusetts to study Mass Communications and Television
Production/Advertising. During college he began a free-lance video
production company shooting documentaries and sales presentations. He moved
to Boston in 1991, and began as a Producer for Cablevision of Boston. In
1995 he was recruited by Time Warner Entertainment and became Senior
Commercial Producer in 1998, winning 12 Telly awards, and 7 CAB awards for
photography.While at Time Warner, Barratt co-founded ArieScope Pictures with
writer/director Adam Green, and he has directed all photography since then.
Barratt has studied at the Film & Television Workshops, in Rockport, ME
under masters such as Michael Hoffstein (The Fall Guy, Aculpulco Heat, Drop
Zone) and Rob Draper (Spitfire Grill).
In May 2002, he won an Emmy award for a television spot with WBZ and the
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and was nominated for 2 other Emmy awards for
his commercials with FOX Sports.
Barratt produces and shoots over 100 commercials a year for clients such as
Fox Sports, Harvard University, John Hancock, Toyota, Comcast, The BBC, and
Cider Jack Hard Cider. Most recently, he was contracted to return and
head-up coverage of NBC's World Cup Skiing.
